2014 was a year that I really spent as a homemaker. This year, more than ever before, I started really learning what it takes to be an effective homemaker and how hard it really is! I had some amazing blessings this year and a few hard struggles.

Our Family Update

This year has been a really busy year for us! My mother passed away last November and so it’s been hard going through our first holiday’s like Mother’s Day without her. I had a ton to do to settle her estate like mounds of paperwork and cleaning her house to get it ready to sell. We are finally almost done with it all and I’m ready to move into 2015.

We also moved into our first house in January and it’s needed a lot of work! I’ve spent a bulk of this year literally painting every wall, baseboard, and door in the entire house. I have the laundry room left to do and it’s been so fun settling into our first home!

Our First House love

Follow me on Instagram where I share photos throughout my day of what a homemaker’s life looks like!

Our twin boys turned 2 years old last week! I can’t believe these 2 years have flown by SO fast. This year has been the most rewarding year as a parent but also the hardest. Parenting strong-willed toddlers with a mind of their own is tough. But by God’s grace we are learning day by day what it means to parent according to God’s Will…even though we have a long way to go!

Our Family is Growing!

We found out in November that we are expecting!! Well…we had an ultrasound this last week and found out that we are expecting our second set of twins!! The due date is July 19th but it’s likely they will come sooner than that (probably in June). We don’t know if they are girls, boys, or one of each yet but I will update you all as soon as we know!

Praise the Lord for his goodness and his kindness! Children are a blessing from the Lord <3

What’s Coming in 2015

So with all the news, 2015 is shaping up to be an amazing year! I will soon have announcements for a hospitality eCourse that I’m working on and we have some amazing things planned for Spring and early Summer! And then, once my twins are born, I’ll be scheduling a bunch of articles here on YWG and will take it easy the rest of the year to bond with my sweet new babies!

In 2015 you can look forward to a hospitality eCourse, an online marriage conference, some amazing new printable packages, a homemaking podcast (I can’t wait for this), and a few more fun surprises! I’ll also be working on a book this year and can’t WAIT to share the details.

Thank you for being apart of my 2014 and I can’t wait to walk into 2015 with new goals and a fresh motivation to serve the Lord within my home!

Stay tuned next week for some things I want to change for 2015, how I’ve been working my way out of a bit of a depression, and how 2015 is going to be the best year ever!
