Scripture Memory Cards ~A simple way to memorize scripture {Free Printables}

I have always been the kind of person who has a pretty good grasp on what the Bible teaches. I can dig into doctrine and see what God’s word teaches.

The problem is that I can never remember  the verses. Oh, I know that somewhere it says something about this. But that doesn’t cut it. It’s much more powerful and beneficial to memorize God’s word, word for word, and know the references.

So I began my journey to memorize scripture and I needed a nice simple way to help me memorize. Being girly, I also needed some cute and fun accessories to help me out.

So I first made these Proverbs 31 cards to give out at our Bible study. We had decided to memorize Proverbs 31 together and these cards came in so handy. When I am doing the dishes or waiting at the doctor I pull my little cards out (they are perfect for sticking in your purse) and work on memorizing.

These make great gifts as well! Know a couple who is getting married? Compile a list of helpful marriage scripture or quotes and give them to the couple. Or better yet make 1 Corinthians cards so that in their first year of marriage they can memorize “Love is Patient…” together.

The Proverbs 31 cards make a great gift to woman in a Bible study or at a conference.

  10. This is AWESOME! I’m going to print these off…I love them! And my girls will love how pretty they are. Thank you so much!

  11. These are so amazing, and I just love them! One request, though. Would it be possible to make them available in different versions? I use KJV and everything I memorize is from there. It’s also what we use in church, so if I want to give the gals at church a set of these, it would be nice if it was KJV. Or, could you tell me how you made them? What do you use? Photoshop? I really appreciate your encouragement to memorize, and making it so pretty besides!
    Love ya,
    Wendy

    • Hi Wendy! Thank you!!! :) I made the Proverbs 31 one’s for our women’s Bible Study! :) If you click on the image of the document it will download a Microsoft word document. It is able to be edited, so you could go in and change to whatever version you want.

      But I am happy to go update it for you :) I could post them again in the KJV in case anyone else wants them. Currently they are in ESV. Do you want all three in KJV??

      If you have other scripture in mind I am happy to make those as well, I’m sure others would want them too ;)

  12. My computer doesn’t support docX…any way you could have these 3 as a word 97-03 doc and email them?

  13. Plz email me about prices for anxiety memory cards in kjv. Possibly need 40 or so. Or if u have any other new
    series

  14. May God bless you for having posted these wonderful citations and helpful comments and encouragements. Would it be possible to purchase the electronic files of some of the verses/cards, complete with the size and text formatting as is. I wouldn’t need the pretty pictures; however, I desire to print little pictographs of the verses, maybe on the reverse sides of the cards, in order to visually aid myself in memorizing the scripture. For example,, Col. 3:12 states “Wherefore as dearly loved children of God, clothe thyself in Compassion, Kindness, Humility, Gentleness and Patience…,” and I would like to print little pictographs on the back. The first pictographs would show a big throne for God, and little toddlers under the throne, representing the phrase ” Wherefore as dearly loved Children of God.” The little pictograph would be cute and should be helpful and somewhat fun for dear mothers and sisters out there, as well as for myself. Pictographs are great memory aids for memorizing scripture. Your youngwifesguide is quite a blessing and rises as a very pleasant scent to Our Heavenly Father. You seem like a great Prov. 31 wife: your husband and family must be very proud of you.
