We’re Pregnant!!
We are so excited and happy to announce that we are pregnant with our first bundle of joy :)
This is how we announced it on Facebook. We posted this photo and let it speak for itself.
We are so excited to journey into this unknown new adventure.
I am transitioning from a young wife to a young mom and I can’t wait! The Lord is so good and His timing is so perfect. Hubby got a promotion and we are moving so that we will no longer be eight and a half hours away from both of our families but only an hour and a half!
I guess I won’t be a Stay-at-Home-Wife for long before I am a Stay-at-Home-Mom! We are due in January and counting down the days.
My family is still 8 1/2 hours away so I called them right after we found out and got to share the news over the phone. But my hubby’s family was coming to visit us this weekend to help us pack and move, so we decided to tell them in person.
With Mother’s Day yesterday we knew this would be the perfect way to give my Mother in Law a gift.
We bought a white onsie and wrote “I Love My Grandma” on it and gave it to her as her Mother’s Day present.
We made sure to video the family’s response as well :) Our awesome videographer accidentally recorded it vertically but our sweet family’s memory is still perfect!

The video is awesome!! I love seeing your whole family’s reactions. Somebody asking your husband–”how long have you known?” and his response “Since, like, Wednesday.” To one of the littler boys–”Get up and hug them!” and “We were going to tell you last night but we didn’t want to ruin the surprise.” Lol. You have a great family. :D
On a related note, FUNNY story from yesterday. We were at my in-laws’ for Mother’s Day (since my family is 11 hours away) and we had bought a bunch of cards–for our moms, for my grandma, for our brothers who are graduating. I had them all in a paper bag and yesterday morning I grabbed a card out of the bag and went upstairs and put it on the table with the others for Joshua’s mom. A little later she picked it up and looked at it with a funny expression on her face, all excited–I had accidentally grabbed the card that said “To Grandma, love Joshua and Jaimie”!!! I felt SOOO bad…obviously it didn’t mean what she thought it meant…but she was okay with that, lol. It was cool, though–she was all excited for a little bit, thinking we were pregnant, even though the timing right now would not be great, lol. :) But I’ll probably use that as an announcement if, when we do get pregnant, it’s right before Mother’s Day. :)

Oh your story is SO funny! Sad for your mom but funny. So when you really are pregnant and try and give her a gift she won’t believe it!! LOL! That’s so funny. Now you know that she will be excited whenever it happens ;)

keep crackers by the bed. Eat those before getting up in the morning.
Thank you Charlene!! Morning sickness hasn’t been to bad thankfully!! I had a couple of days were I felt queasy all day but the past 4 days I have felt fine! :) So praise the Lord for that!! Thanks for the tip about crackers, I have found that eating some bread first thing in the morning really helps :) If I get hit with morning sickness again I’ll try out the crackers. It hits me when I have an empty stomach.
Wow- reading your story has been so awesome Jami. It’s like watching the faithfulness of God being played out, and I know that as a blog reader I don’t even know you or your whole story personally! But I recall reading about you being able to stay at home, the move closer to family, and now you guys are expecting! How awesome is our Lord?! Blessings to you and your husband!
