My Goals For This Week – 3/24/15

on March 24, 2015 by Jami Balmet 0 comments

I can’t believe how fast March is flying by and that we are almost in April! Welcome back to my weekly goals: March 24th edition!

My weekly Goals (Personal & Business)

As I mentioned in my weekly goals last week, I’ve been hard at work on a new eCourse that launches in April called A Heart for Hospitality! I have been spending every night this week after my kids go to bed, recording my final sessions for the course. I had scheduled to have these done much earlier but was taken out of commission for nearly two weeks with a nasty cold and sinus infection. Lets just say that no one would want to watch my course sessions when I sounded like I did 😉

Around a big launch like this new eCourse, I spend a lot more time doing business/blogging work than I normally do. So this week has been really light on homemaking duties. I’ve kept the house tidy without doing any homemaking or cleaning projects and have stuck to really simple dinners, such as burritos.

What We’ve Been Up To This Week

Because of my eCourse coming up, I don’t have a ton to share from this week as it’s been mostly computer work. Because I’ve been spending my evenings on my computer, my days have mostly been spent outside playing with my twins in this beautiful Spring weather we’ve been having.

We spent our days playing outside in the beautiful spring weather

Last Tuesday we had the carpet replaced in our house and it was a much bigger project than I anticipated! About half of our house is carpeted, the other half being tile or wood, and we really needed to replace the carpet when we first moved in (it was very cheap carpet from the previous owners with ugly stains in every room from a large dog that lived inside) and finally got around to it. It’s been amazing having real, soft carpet in our house for the first time, but I had no idea how much work this would be to empty out all the closets, put everything back, etc.

finally getting new carpet!

I tested out a new hair treatment this week. It’s called the beautiful hair herbal herbal mix from The Bulk Herb Store. You combine the green herbal mix with apple cider vinegar and two raw eggs and slather all over your hair and leave on for 45 minutes before rinsing out. So for about an hour, I had green looking hair! Wish I had gotten a picture of that. It’s supposed to naturally darken your hair a bit but the main reason I got it was to nourish and revitalize my hair. So far it seems to have really helped but I’ll update you as time goes on.

Trying out something new!

And that’s about what we’ve been up to this week. My hubby and I leave for a Christian writer’s conference on Thursday and are so excited for the time away. My husband is working on writing a fantasy novel and this is going to be the perfect pre-babies getaway! Five days in the mountains at a writing retreat = our perfect idea of a vacation!

Last Week’s Personal Goals

1) Continue reading the Bible and my personal devotional book (The Christian Homemaker’s Handbook) every day.

2) Continue reading one chapter of Give Them Grace each night with my husband. – We’ve been hit and miss with this goal this week.

3) Exercise twice this week.

4) Paint my new desk and get it all set up! – Nope didn’t get to it. The carpet installation was waaay more work than I anticipated!

5) Get the house ready for new carpet to be installed on Tuesday. Success!

6) Clean out and organize the closet in our bedroom (it’s tiny and yet it’s a mess). Sooooo glad to have a set up and organized master closet finally!
